Before you start measuring... remember, size is just a number. Don't suck in or pull the tape measure tight. Stand in a relaxed position, let it all hang out and measure with a taught, but not tight tape measure. It's better to get the RIGHT size than worry about what the size is.
WAIST: Measure between your waist and belly button.
HIPS: Measure around the widest part of your hips.
CHEST: Measure the largest part of your chest. Usually this is where your nipples are.
* Measurements in inches
* For waist measurement, measure between hip and belly button

Hips:: 39 - small waist round bottom, which makes finding pants a bit challenging
I can't tell you how amazing it is to find gear like this made for women - especially petite women, like me! My whole life I've felt like so many sports were out of my reach becaus... view moree there just wasn't anything to fit me - and yes, I tried the kids sized stuff, and shocklingly enough, a petite woman is not actually built like an 11 y/o boy.
These shorts fit great and the waist is adjustable, which is *perfect*. They are also really flattering. I wore them on a 15 mile trail ride for a day trip, and then 15miles back the next day. I got caught in the rain (surprise!!!) on the way there, and was elated to find that these shorts kept me dry! It's not advertised as such, but they seem a bit water resistant. The mud (no fenders, oops) slid right off. Super comfy and fit well over padded liner shorts.
The quality of the material and make of the product was actually pretty surprising to me. Lots of pockets - more than I expected. These shorts are just *solid*.
To the one lady who is upset because the manufacturer's interpretation of "large" left her feeling sad and salty - girl, just be glad they have an XL that will probably fit you. No one cares about the size on the tag, and no one will see it but you. Further, it doesn't mean anything. No reason to give these pants a one star for that. Get the next size up and enjoy them! view less
The pattern is awesome!!! I ordered the wrong size (xs) & am exchanging for a medium bc I want them to be loose. The small would probably fit. So I cannot comment on how they laund... view moreer bc I have not ridden with them yet. view less
These camo shorts are beyond cute! You may however want to make some adjustments after reviewing the size chart. Based on the size chart I would wear an XS based on my hip measure... view morement but a large based on the direction to measure your waist between your hips and belly button.
In this photo I am wearing a size small. I am 5'8.5 inches tall and weigh ~125lbs. My hips are 36 inches and my natural waist is 28. When ordering I sized one size up from what the chart said based on my hip measurement and this actually corresponded better on the chart to my natural waist measurement.
For reference in other brands of shorts (Sombrio, Fox, Raceface, IXS) I also wear a size Small.
I find the Naveah a little shorter in length than I prefer, as a taller person I am left with a slight gap between my knee pad and the bottom hem.
These shorts haven't stretched out at all after wearing and there is not much give to the fabric so consider sizing up for a truer fit and up again for a roomier fit.
I wish the pockets were bigger and the length a little longer, but otherwise I love these shorts view less
Q: Hi, I am athletic, translation, I have hips and thighs and a pretty decent derrière, so most women’s mtb shorts are too tight in the upper thighs causing restricted movement while peddling..(who wants that?!). Can you speak to the space for real legs? I’m 5’6 140lbs, size 6. Thanks.
A: Hi! These shorts are awesome for muscular thighs and booties. They have plenty of room and you can adjust the waist - this is helpful when you need to go up a size to accommodate an athletic build but a smaller waist. It sounds like you'd be most comfortable in a medium.
