Dirty Jane is super excited to have connected with Leanne. We have been talking online for a little while and now over-the-mountain thrilled we can call her a JANE!!! Oh yeah. *insert fist pump* here*
A little bit about Leanne in her own words:
I was raised in Alabama around all things Southern. I grew up playing soccer and spending most of my free time at the lake or taking vacations with my mom and little sister. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Restaurant and hospitality management, and I started working as a Private Event Director.
My husband Tram and I met through our dads, and we were married in February 2016.
The Lord opened up some doors for us to move out to Durango, Colorado about 1 week after our honeymoon, and we could not be more excited to be here! We moved here as rock climbers, but we were thrown quickly in to the biking community. Tram had little experience on a bike from Alabama, and I had only ridden a bike (aside from learning to ride a bike as a child) about 2 times. We came out here with hardtails, and we have been moving up in bikes ever since!
To say we absolutely fell in love with this hobby is an understatement! To encourage new riders, I want to let you know that I have shed tears on pretty much every trail in and around Durango. I learned that practice makes... not quite perfect.... but it helps to improve skills, endurance and passion for riding. The trails around here are straight up, technical, and full of Professional riders. Just keep at it! Tram and I always joke about wanting to just be "Average Riders in Durango!"
Now, we are a family of four- me, Tram, and our two dogs, Jessie and Bailey. I am now on my 3rd season of mountain biking, and I cannot get enough! I ride the 2018 Trek Remedy 8 (see pictures). I try to ride 3-4 times a week, and we either ride trails in Durango or take road trips to ride elsewhere on the weekends. I am always down for a lengthy cross country ride in the high country, a downhilling day at the bike park, or a ride that turns into an Epic! I could not be more excited to represent Dirty Jane, and I hope to be able to inspire more women to get out and shred!
